“SAVED: Equine Rescues of Connecticut”

Horse lovers, advocates, and compassionate souls, gather 'round! We're thrilled to unveil the book dedicated to celebrating and championing the noble cause of equine rescues in Connecticut. If you find solace in stories that speak of courage, compassion, and the unwavering spirit of these magnificent creatures, then you're in for a treat! The book is for equine lovers, with a special focus on tales of rescue, rehabilitation, and redemption. Through the pages of the book, you’ll see the incredible work being done by equine rescues in Connecticut. From heartwarming success stories to the tireless efforts of those dedicated to giving these animals a second chance at life, our mission is to inspire, educate, and ignite change.

The nine rescues featured are: All The Kings Horses Equine Rescue, Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue, Operation: Hold Your Horses Rescue, Rising Starr Horse Rescue, Serenity Farms Horse Rescue, Sumner Brook Farm Equine Rescue and Retirement, Tara Farms Rescue, Trails End Retirement, and US Horse Welfare and Rescue.

Join us in our journey to spread awareness, support, and love for horses in need. Whether you're a seasoned equestrian, a passionate advocate, or simply someone who believes in the power of good stories, you will find it with this book while also helping to support equine rescues in Connecticut..

Together, we heal horses.

Together, we heal horses.

Join us in giving hope, one $20 gift at a time.

In the spirit of our golf tournament, can you take a swing at supporting your favorite horse for $20? We also have options for you to choose from, including medical support, “par for the horse” to help any CDHR horse, in loving memory of Spencer, and to help a future rescue horse.

GIVE HOPE TODAY

Here’s How You Can Help

  • Donate

The money raised helps pay for the medical care, hay, grain, supplements, and supplies that will continue to require financial support.

  • Sponsor

You can sponsor any of our horses in honor of a friend, in memory of a loved one, or even as a birthday or holiday gift for someone special. Business, club, and school sponsorship are also welcome!

  • Volunteer

CDHR is 100% volunteer-operated. Volunteers are vital to our organization – providing much needed help and allowing us to properly care for our rescued draft horses.

  • Ways to Give

All funding is used to rescue these horses, restore their health and wellness, and provide a nurturing and natural environment where “horses can be horses.”
