About Louie:

• Louis is an 11 year-old Percheron gelding

• He arrived in June 2025 as part of a group (the “Windham 8”) seized for neglect by Animal Control Officers. As the legal proceedings have not been finalized, he is NOT available for adoption.

• Stats:

  • Height: 18.3hh

  • Blanket size: 92”

• Hooves: Due to the long-term hoof neglect, the damage to his weakened hooves resulted in several hoof abscesses and he now requires 4 shoes for support and protection along with some sedation for his farrier work.

• Medical Needs: He has an old pelvic injury that was causing him pain. He now takes daily Equioxx for his comfort.
