She is a Clydesdale mare who is about 19 years old

Maggie was rescued back in 2013. She was one of five, essentially, wild Clydesdale mares that came to us from Maine. While all five mares had a long journey ahead of them, Maggie stood out. She was the youngest, the first to trust, the first to truly blossom, and the first to find a family of her own.

For the past 11 years, she has been deeply loved.

Unfortunately, life sometimes asks us to make impossible decisions. Due to circumstances beyond her control, Maggie’s mom made the heartbreaking choice to return her so she could receive the care she deserves.

Maggie is not currently sound and will be undergoing further evaluation. She has a history of ring bone in her fronts. We will continue to update this page.
