Meet Hope

About Hope:

  • Hope is a 4 year-old registered Percheron mare.

  • She arrived in June 2025 as part of a group (the “Windham 8”) seized for neglect by Animal Control Officers. As the legal proceedings have not been finalized, she is NOT available for adoption.

  • Stats:

    • Blanket size: 84”

  • Hooves: Barefoot

  • Medical Needs: None

  • Hope arrived underweight, had severely neglected hooves and teeth, and was also pregnant. Hope also suffers from severe kyphosis (“roach back”), a conformational defect which causes her spine to curve upwards like a hump. She will not be available for adoption until her foal is weaned.
