Stallions come in all shapes and sizes. We've seen "hard to handle and a striker" come through the program in years past, and now are loving, calm geldings. Give your stallion the gift of gelding at a minimal charge of $125 per horse.

CDHR is hosting our 11th Annual Low-Cost Gelding Clinic on May 6th for owners who might not otherwise be able to afford the procedure. If you have a colt or stallion and need assistance getting your horse/donkey/mule gelded, this clinic will provide gelding surgery to approved applicants for a fee of just $125.00 per horse/donkey/mule.

The program was developed based on the philosophy that the castration of a stallion will help prevent accidental or over-breeding, thereby reducing the number of unwanted horses being born. Castration also produces calmer horses that are more rideable and trainable, possibly enabling them to have multiple careers.
