Hi! My name is Anastasia and I recently moved to the area from out of state with my roommate Cheyanne. I’ve yet to get out and meet anyone since being here.

My roommate is much younger than me. I am in my 20’s and she is just 6 so it’s hard for us sometimes to hang out with the same crowd due to our age difference. Maybe you’re the one that I can click with.

I’m not just in my 20’s, I’m also big and beautiful, a velvet black color from my head to my tail. The first thing people usually notice about me is my beautiful, soulful eyes and the perfect white spot on my forehead that looks like a comma. Between a rough past and my age, my hair has thinned some on my tail but let me reassure you, nowhere else!

I’m often complimented on all of my beautiful black hair. I’m a quiet girl and like to take things slow. I’m not big on going out. I’m a girl who would rather stay in and quietly dine on a homemade meal while we watch the sunset together. Not many know this but I’m trying hard to open up more, I love music...specifically singing. Maybe you could sing me a soft song while you comb my mane?

Are you looking for a distinguished, tall, dark, handsome, deep mahogany guy with luscious salt and pepper hair? Then look no further. My name is Ben and I’ve been known as the “Sam Elliot” of the herd at CDHR.

I’m about 21 years old, but really does it matter my age? Let’s just enjoy each other. If going out to eat is something you enjoy, I prefer a buffet. Preferable no Mexican buffets, I have an issue with corn and just can’t resist if it’s available to me!

Some call it grooming, I prefer the term “manscaping”. I enjoy having my mane conditioned and played with as well as my tail. I prefer my feathers to be cleaned as much as possible, thinned out regularly as well as brushing. I often use facial creams to keep me comfortable, smooth, and wrinkle-free. Some may say I’m high maintenance, but I say it’s just a necessity to keep me looking so handsome.

My all-time favorite thing to do is to have one on one time with any close friend who enjoys scratching and massaging me, taking extra time and special care on my belly.

I admit I have not gotten out much. I take my commitment to be a good roommate to my main man, Hank, seriously. With this new year, I have promised to take some time for myself. So if you’re interested, bid on me for a date!

Hi, I'm Bob and I'm extremely special because I am the ONLY draft mule at CDHR. I don't like to discuss age, but let's just say I've seen three decades of history. I'm extremely intelligent and I'm definitely an introvert. I play my cards close to my chest, but if you gain my trust, I'm an open book. I've been told I have a wonderful voice - I believe I'm a tenor. I love making faces at the CDHR ‘newbies,’ and have no patience for waiting in food lines. Who does?

Hi...my name is Cheyanne, I’m a 6-year-old Belgian mare..Oh my God this is so awkward, I feel soooo uncomfortable doing this, but my roommate and best friend Anastasia pressured me to “put myself out there” so to appease her so here I go..

I live at CDHR right now with a lot of horses also rescued with similar experiences of their own...Just putting that out there right upfront so you know my background because some people might call that “baggage.” I’m a simple country girl with simple tastes. Some grain and second cut hay and I will be content.

I need a special someone who is willing to go slow and be patient with me. I am starting to come out of my shell a little bit but if you move fast I may jump or run away..If I do I hope you’ll understand and wait, because I will come back and nibble your hand.

I have been described as pretty, I’m blonde, a little out of shape because I wasn’t able to move much before being saved. I was kept tied to a tree, and couldn’t even lay down. I do have physical scars and a wound on my head and neck from a halter that grew into me and had to be surgically removed..but I hope that doesn’t bother my special someone who will be able to see past that to what is inside.

Hi, my name is Hank. I'm an all-around great gelding with a positive outlook on life. I lost my right eye to cancer, but I'm a fighter and happy to say I've been cancer-free for the last several years!
