About Sarah:

• Sarah is a crossbred mare who is about 12 years-old.

• She arrived in June 2025 as part of a group (the “Windham 8”) seized for neglect by Animal Control Officers. As the legal proceedings have not been finalized, she is NOT available for adoption.

• Stats:

  • Height: 15.1hh

  • Blanket size: 84”

• Hooves: Barefoot and requires sedation for farrier.

• Medical Needs: None

• Sarah arrived with severely neglected hooves and teeth, and was also pregnant. She was the only one of the group not underweight, likely because she is an “easy keeper” and also an alpha mare who will never let another horse come between her and her hay. Sarah may also have an ovarian tumor which will require surgical removal after she foals. She will not be available for adoption until she is healthy and her foal is weaned.
