THE HERD'S WISH LIST

We are always in need of items to help our horses in addition to supplies to maintain our farm. If you would like to donate something from the herd’s wish lists or have other items that could benefit our horses, please feel free to contact us. Even a small gift makes an enormous difference to a draft horse in need. Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

Our Amazon Wish List

Please look through our Amazon wish list and choose how you want to support us. We have all kinds of items listed, including grooming brushes and fly masks, jolly balls and salt licks and even much-needed veterinary supplies.

If you are feeling playful, purchase a jolly ball. If you are feeling practical, you can buy a horse a bottle of fly spray. The best part is, after enjoying picking out your generous gift for the horses, Amazon will ship it directly to us! No muss, no fuss.

Every gift helps us provide the kind of care we believe all horses deserve. Thank you to all our supporters who have already participated in this program and to all the others who have supported us along the way.

Other Ways To Help

Please help CDHR with the purchase of much needed items or services from our herd’s wish list. Or you can help with a donation towards our large hay bill or our feed bill.

Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue Inc. (CDHR) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to saving the lives of draft horses that were bound for slaughter, victims of starvation, neglect, or abuse, or whose owners are unable to provide for their needs.  In addition to our work with the horses, we educate people about the proper care, training, and responsible ownership of horses. We organize gelding clinics to address the problem of unwanted horses, and we promote and support equine efforts and animal rescue in times of natural disaster.

We need your financial support through donations, matching gifts through your organization, monthly sponsorship of horses, and planned giving.  The money raised helps pay for the medical care, hay, grain, supplements, and supplies that will continue to require financial support.
